First month in NYC
As expected it took me a little time to settle in to my new environment, but I think I’ve finally got to a point where I can examine my situation and determine where I might be in a couple months. Currently I’m interning at a very cool place with fun folks here at the Animation Collective. Although nothing is really in production right now, it being mid season, I am seeing some cool stuff starting to develop and look forward to it’s eventual production.
Other than that I’ve been exploring New York City on the days I have off.
Here’s a list of things I’ve seen so far on my expeditions:
- Time Square
- Carnegie Hall
- Statue of Liberty
- The view from the top of the Empire State Building
- Central Park
- Broadway shows Avenue Q and Spamalot
- One of the biggest rats I’ve ever seen (I first thought it was a small cat)
- Madison Square Gardens
- Grand Central Station
- Sony Wonder Technology Lab (which was under constuction)
- Washington park
- Union Square
- NYU
Really, I’ve probably seen more, but there’s been so much. I’m thinking about starting another blog category specifically pertaining to my NYC experience, though I think everyone has done something like that… instead I think I’ll just draw more.
